Jaipur: NIMS University has, in a significant development in the field of higher education, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Murdoch University Australia, which will cover a range of topics relevant to both institutions. The aim is to open academic avenues for students, scholars, and faculty members of both universities to benefit from the international agreement. The unison between the universities focuses on supporting research, teaching, training, and extension activities jointly. This MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman of NIMS University, and Prof. Simon McKirdy, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Global Engagement, Murdoch University, Australia.
The signing ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Dr. Sanjiv Sharma, Pro-Chancellor, NIMS University, Prof. (Dr.) Sundeep Mishra, Vice-Chancellor (President), NIMS University, as well as Dr. Kelly Smith, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Murdoch University, Prof. Tania Urmee, School of Engineering and Energy, Murdoch University, along with other esteemed members of both institutions. As a result of this collaboration, two renowned educational institutions are stepping forward to advance their research and development.
By signing the MoU, the two organizations believe to establish a long-term partnership. NIMS University and Murdoch University will collaborate on the development and implementation of training and Student exchange program in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Management, Humanities, and law areas. These programs will include faculty development programs, digital inclusion, and entrepreneurship development.
To address the occasion Chancellor and Chairman of NIMS University said, “We are excited to partner with Murdoch University.” “This agreement will provide students with unique opportunities to work with leading researchers in their respective fields. It will foster collaboration between our institutions. This is another significant addition to the growing collaborative R&D ecosystem at NIMS University. It will further allow us to share expertise, resources and in key areas of mutual interest.”
