Jaipur -As part of its commitment to “Education Redefined”, NIMS University represents a significant milestone in the progress of AI research and development in North India, setting up the most advanced AI lab on the campus itself which aims to revolutionize the way we see the world.

This technological initiative will be developed by NVIDIA, a leading provider of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence solutions. This partnership is poised to bring about transformative changes in the field of artificial intelligence, fostering innovation and nurturing a new generation of AI enthusiasts.

NIMS University is developing India’s most advanced and one-of-a-kind AI and Deep Learning lab on the University’s premises. Artificial intelligence has several applications, including natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, and data analytics. Additionally, this hands-on experience will allow students to enhance their creativity and problem-solving abilities. NIMS University’s AI Lab will serve as a central hub for interdisciplinary research, exploration, and top-tier training in AI, Computer Science, and Engineering.

NEP 2020 recognizes research and innovation as key drivers of educational excellence, economic growth, and societal development. NIMS University has implemented several initiatives to promote research and innovation as part of the NEP 2020 objectives.

NIMS is the first institute in the North to offer full-fledged AI and Machine Learning courses in line with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendations.

NIMS is confident that with the recommendation of NEP 2020, such collaboration will become more common and further strengthen to achieve the goal of internalization at home. In the creation of this lab, fundamental research experiences will be merged with applied research experiences.

As part of our applied AI lab initiatives, the centre will support the following initiatives:

1. Providing training programs that focus on skill development for students, faculty, and professionals in the industry. As a result, they are well prepared to excel in AI and contribute to its development.

2. Invite renowned experts and industry leaders to share their insights and experiences, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.

3. Integrating AI into forensics & surveillance, computer vision, business analytics, mechanical engineering, robotics, and healthcare applications.

Access to NVIDIA’s powerful hardware and software platforms enables researchers to tackle complex computational challenges. This allows researchers to accelerate data analysis, and drive innovation in areas like computer vision, machine learning, and data science. This will create a thriving ecosystem that encourages skills development, knowledge exchange, and technological advancement. In this way, innovation will be driven and society will be positively impacted.
