NIMS University Rajasthan has brought pride to India by playing an influential role at the prestigious World Health Summit 2025 held in Berlin, Germany. The event, recognized as one of the most significant global forums in the field of health policy and innovation, witnessed participation from over 4,000 delegates and policymakers from more than 140 countries, including leading scientists, clinicians, researchers, and representatives from industry and civil society.
The summit emphasized the theme of “Global Responsibility for Health and Well-being”, focusing on sustainable health systems, digital transformation, and equitable healthcare access worldwide.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar, Chancellor of NIMS University Rajasthan and International President of the World Health Summit, was applauded for his leadership and vision. Dr. Tomar highlighted India’s growing role in shaping the future of global health through innovation, technology, and policy advocacy.
He remarked, “Health is a universal public asset, and India’s Digital Health and One Health models offer exemplary frameworks for the world. Social responsibility must remain central to achieving equitable global health outcomes.”
The summit also announced that India will host the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2025 in New Delhi, marking a milestone moment as one of the largest and most impactful regional meetings ever organized. The upcoming event aims to strengthen global collaboration on pressing challenges in healthcare, including climate change, digital innovation, and public health equity.
Distinguished global institutions such as the World Bank, WHO, UNAIDS, and the World Economic Forum praised NIMS University’s contribution to promoting inclusive health strategies and global partnerships.
The Berlin Summit featured over 160 sessions, with participation from 54 countries, focusing on key issues like digital health transformation, AI in medicine, sustainable healthcare systems, and global policy frameworks.
With its active participation and leadership, NIMS University continues to reinforce India’s voice in the global health landscape — shaping policies, fostering innovation, and advancing the mission of “Health for All.”
