In an effort to foster mental clarity and emotional resilience, the Nims Institute of Business Studies organized a Mindfulness Meditation Session on 4th January 2024. The session was part of the institution’s broader initiatives aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being. It provided participants with tools to manage stress, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

Objective of the Session

The session aimed to:

    • Expert Acharya Siddhartha, an MD Physician and Yogacharya from Maryland, USA,** introduced the concept of mindfulness meditation.
    • The session began with an overview of the benefits of mindfulness, including its impact on mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall health.
  2. Guided Meditation Exercises:
    • Participants practiced mindfulness techniques, including breathing exercises, body scans, and visualization, under the guidance of the expert.
    • The focus was on achieving a state of relaxation and heightened awareness.
  3. Practical Tips for Daily Practice:
    • Attendees were taught how to incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines through simple exercises like mindful eating, walking meditation, and gratitude practices.
    • The session emphasized the importance of consistency and self-discipline in developing a mindfulness habit.
