World Oral Health Day 2018 at Nims Dental College
NIMS University always stands committed to provide services to human mankind.
On 20th March 2018, NIMS Dental College & Hospital celebrated World Oral Health Day. The theme for this year is “Say Ahh- Think mouth, Think health”.
The World Oral Health Day 2018 campaign aims to educate people that keeping a healthy mouth is crucial to keeping it functioning correctly and for maintaining overall health and quality of life.
Various oral health programmes were organized under this event, a health interview and a talk show by Dr. Mridula Trehan, Principal, NIMS Dental College & Hospital & Dr. Roma Yadav, Sr. Lecturer which was telecast by News India Channel, Jaipur.
Comprehensive oral health check-up camp and oral health awareness program was conducted for the school children of NIMS International School. School children were given oral health education using oral health education posters, live demonstrations and models. They were made aware of some common oral health related problems in childhood and how they can prevent such problems. Proper tooth brushing technique was demonstrated by enthusiastic postgraduate, Interns and undergraduate students to all the school children.
Drawing competition was organized for the school children. Faculty members of NIMS School of Architecture judged the best art work and prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition and also to those with good oral hygiene. In addition to this, free dental check up and concession on treatment procedures was provided to all the patients reporting to NIMS Dental College & Hospital.
