The NIMS Dental College & Hospital organized a series of Dental Examination and Oral Hygiene Awareness Sessions across various villages in February 2024.

Objective

To improve dental health awareness and provide free oral health check-ups to underserved communities.

Activities

  1. Dental Screenings:
    • Comprehensive oral health assessments identified common issues like cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
  2. Hygiene Education:
    • Participants were taught proper brushing techniques, flossing methods, and the importance of regular dental visits.
  3. Interactive Sessions:
    • Children participated in fun activities like quizzes on oral hygiene to reinforce learning.

Impact

The initiative significantly improved oral health awareness in these communities.

  • “This was our first dental check-up, and we learned so much about taking care of our teeth,” said a participant.

Future Plans

The college will continue such programs to promote preventive dental care in more villages.
