Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi returned to India on January 9, 1915
after practicing the theory of non-violence in South Africa. To
commemorate his return to India, the Government of India every year
celebrate “Pravasi Bhartiya Divas”. This time, this honour has been
bestowed upon the State of Rajasthan.
The contribution of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian
Origin (PIOs) is known worldwide. They have carved a special place in
the world’s economy. In fact, Indian Economists are considered as the
best policy makers and Indian Money Managers are considered persons of
excellence. The Indian Technical Professionals have established
themselves as the best skilled workers in the world’s market. They are
intelligent, diligent and enterprising, that is why they are sought
after in all the parts of the globe. We are proud of our NRIs and PIOs
who have brought name and fame to this country. Shri Lakshmi Niwas
Mittal has created history in the field of steel, Mr. Vikram Pandit is
known as the best Business Executive, Mr. Bobby Jindal has occupied the
highest seat in the civil life in a State of U.S. These are few legends
of our times, in fact, Indians, by nature break away from the common
place and create a new place for themselves. India has opened up its
economy in early 1990s and has kept pace with the changing scenario.
Virtually, India has second largest economy in the world. It is a matter
of great pleasure that earlier our companies were put up for sales,
merger or acquisition and now, we buy companies abroad by merger and
acquisition or outright purchase basis. There was a time when market had
a special respect for multinational companies ruling Indian economy and
now, Indian owned multinational companies are controlling world’s
economy.
During the last two decades, the V-shaped recovery in the history of
economy has established India, a power to be reckoned with. The credit
goes to the sons of this great land who have settled abroad. We salute
them on their remarkable achievements.
The Government of India has contributed its mite by creating a separate
Ministry i.e. Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. Our officers extend
red carpet welcome and provide all the necessary help.
“The Pravasi Bhartiya Divas” has emerged as the flagship event of the
Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. “The Pravasi Bhartiya Divas”
provides a platform that facilitates the overseas Indian Economy with
their skills, expertise and financial resources to partner with the
government thereby placing India on a higher growth trajectory.
The State of Rajasthan offers unlimited venues for revenues and
opportunities to NRIs and PIOs. The State of Rajasthan is rightly called
the State of Opportunities. The Heroic land of Rajasthan now may be
rechristened as the State of potential growth and development.
The education industry has been contributing exponentially, in the field
of growth worldwide. There are numerous schemes and plans for
improvement in the field of education which are financed and supported
directly and indirectly by the NRIs and PIOs. A latest survey of Outlook
- Club Mahindra has revealed that Jaipur is one of the happiest cities
in India. It provides a plethora of opportunities. “Small is really
beautiful, No traffic jams, No congestion, less population, more
opportunities.”

at the same time. The phenomenal growth exhibited by the university
speaks volumes of its commitment towards opening of better avenues for
higher studies. Starting with courses in only Medical stream, the
university now has achieved a status of a well established education

Law, Humanities, Management and Mass Communication are just a few names
out of the many educational streams that are part of the University’s
